We impact the lives of over 40 million consumers daily by working with clients in the Baltics, the USA, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. We operate one of the largest big data environments in the Baltics, with one of the most diverse data sets, and we tackle some of the most challenging analytical and AI problems in the industry.
Exacaster’s team is looking for a Platform Solutions Architect to design the infrastructure foundations of our CVM product and our big data and Generative AI platforms for clients in telecommunications, finance, and investment management.
We are looking for an architect who turns business requirements into secure, reliable, and cost-effective platform infrastructure across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. You will own the architecture for the networking, identity & access, storage, compute orchestration, observability, and security domains – the foundational capabilities that let our workloads run at scale and meet their SLAs.
This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure expert who enjoys working directly with clients, explaining trade-offs in business terms, and setting the standards that engineering teams build on. You will take architecture from discovery to production – designing the platform and deploying it yourself – run proofs-of-concept to de-risk new patterns, and mentor engineers and architects across the team.
In this role, you will take care of
Architecture & roadmap: Own the infrastructure vision across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments, and lead complex migrations with minimal downtime.
Client partnership: Run discovery with clients’ Security, Network, SRE, and FinOps teams and present trade-offs in business terms – risk, availability, cost, and complexity.
Platform design: Design networking, identity & access, storage, and Kubernetes compute (incl. Airflow-orchestrated Spark workloads) – secure by default, with HA/DR and tested RTO/RPO targets.
Security & compliance: Own decisions on encryption, audit logging, data residency, and retention in regulated industries.
Automation & CI/CD: Build reusable IaC modules, GitOps pipelines (GitLab CI, ArgoCD), and self-service blueprints so teams can ship without waiting on the platform team.
Cost optimization: Keep TCO under control through right-sizing, storage tiering, and reserved/spot strategies.
Standards & mentoring: Set standards through design reviews, ADRs, and reference architectures, and coach engineers and architects across the team.
We are looking for a person who has
7+ years in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering, including 3+ years as an architect or technical lead.
Hands-on skills to build what you design – deploying cloud and on-prem infrastructure, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and networking end to end yourself.
Deep expertise in hybrid network design (segmentation, private endpoints, VPNs, zero-trust) and identity & access (IdP/SSO, LDAP/AD, RBAC/ABAC, secrets management).
Experience architecting AWS or Azure environments, including landing zones and IAM.
Strong knowledge of storage systems (object, POSIX, HDFS) and of how data platforms – Snowflake, Redshift, Hive/Impala, PostgreSQL – are provisioned, secured, and scaled.
A track record of designing HA/DR solutions with tested RTO/RPO.
Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, and CI/CD (GitLab CI, ArgoCD), plus observability (Prometheus, Zabbix) and SLO-based operations.
The ability to explain trade-offs to executives and engineers alike and to write clear architecture documentation.
Nice to have
Professional cloud or Kubernetes certifications (AWS SA Pro, Azure SA Expert, GCP PCA, CKA/CKS).
Experience with GCP or Cloudera/Hadoop.
FinOps practices – chargeback and cost-per-workload reporting.
Experience in telecom, finance, or investment management.
We promise
Monthly salary for this position from 7000 EUR gross to 8500 EUR gross for a full-time role.
Direct involvement in building the infrastructure behind real, production Generative AI products – not pilots or PoCs.
Daily access to and active use of modern AI tooling as part of your engineering toolkit.
Participation in the company’s stock options program.
Flexible Benefits & Personal learning budget.
10 Growth Days per year – dedicated time for learning and development.
Ownership and dynamics in your role.
Hybrid work environment.
All the support you need from our experienced team to become an even better professional.
And the most important thing – you will be part of a great international team!
